This was a major demolition project and involved the levelling of the former Sainsbury’s Supermarket Headquarters for J Sainsbury PLC. Located in the South-West corner of the City of London, Sainsbury’s occupied this premises for more than a century, dating back to 1890. The supermarket chain moved to its new glass-fronted Headquarters in Holborn in 2001.
This was a large-scale project to pull down the scheme which was London’s first mass concrete framed building. It was the largest demolition job in London in January 2017.
